Dr Sanjay U Maharaj is an experienced interventional cardiologist with a particular focus on comprehensive heart failure management, alongside complex coronary disease, structural heart interventions and rhythm management.
His heart failure pathway extends from early diagnosis and guideline-directed treatment optimisation to advanced heart failure assessment and eventual LVAD work-up where clinically appropriate.
After serving as Principal Cardiologist and Head of Cardiology at Grey's Hospital, he established private practice in 2007 to bring advanced, technology-led cardiac care closer to patients across KwaZulu-Natal.
